The Goal
The goal of the Basic Offshore Health, Environment & Safety
Training (BOHEST) was to develop a generic Safety Management System
Orientation programme for Phillips China Inc., and then to have
the other oil companies involved in the scheme.
Training Course
The 2-day intensive generic training course covers the following

Safety
The course has a high practical content and at the end of the course
the attendees complete a multiple-choice test paper. Each attendee
must achieve a minimum mark before being allowed offshore.
Training Material
The training material was prepared and developed as a workbook
in order for the instructor to assess levels of competence during
the practical training. The training material is in English and
Chinese.
